About Full Color Images On Tile

Our process always begins with your artwork. Whether a physical photo you hold copyright to, a corporate logo in digital format, or a piece of original artwork you've hand painted, we can take any existing image and prepare it for our digital printing process. Another service we offer includes skillful digital retouching of your artwork. Our head digital imaging technician is a ten year veteran of using Adobe Photoshop for graphic design and photo retouching and even taught classes in digital retouching for two years.

We can do everything from removing blemishes from portraits and eliminating damage from aged photos, to completely removing backgrounds or individuals from photographs.

Once your artwork is ready and approved by you, our imaging process involves a special six color UV resistant ink set. Once printed, we use a sublimation process of intense heat and pressure to change the ink to a gaseous form, where it migrates through the top layer of specially manufactured tiles. Once the heat and pressure is removed the ink is instantly locked permanently into place, leaving behind a beautiful imaged tile!

The remaining step is installation and that's up to you. These tiles should be installed with an industry standard method.

Each Tile is Individually Numbered on the Back

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much will these murals cost?
A: Some standard pricing is available and will soon be printed on this web page. For now, contact Laser Image Tile for a consultation.

Q: Will my mural look exactly like the image I submitted?
A: Laser Image Tile strives to produce the highest quality image reproductions. Color reproduction will vary based on the tile body selected for your project. If we feel we cannot achieve satisfactory results, we will contact the customer to discuss.

Q: How long will it take Laser Image Tile to produce my mural?
A: We typically ship your mural within 2 weeks from the day we receive your order/image.

Q: What if I break a tile during installation?
A: Laser Image Tile will supply a limited number of replacement tiles at no additional cost. Shipping on replacement tiles is not included. The number of replacement tiles is contingent on the size of the project and will be specified in your order confirmation. For this purpose, we keep a digital file of every mural produced for a period of 3 months from date of shipment.

Q: Where can I install these murals?
A: Almost anywhere! Specific tile bodies are appropriate for different applications. Contact Laser Image Tile for consultation.

Q: Can these tiles be installed on the floor?
A: We have a glass tile product available that can be installed in both residential or commercial floor applications.

Q: What installation method do you recommend?

Grout: Sand-free or silicone grout caulking should be used when installing Glossy, Satin Hard Coat, and Textured Wall Tile bodies. Other types of grout may scratch the imaged surfaces during fixing.

Sanded grout can be used on the following tile bodies if needed: Tumbled Stone, Satin and Glazed Porcelain, Mosaic or VersaTile.

Sealers: It depends on the specific tile body, but Tumbled Stone murals should be sealed if used in any water application. When installing VersaTile on a counter top, it is recommended to use a sealer on the grout.

Q: What do you recommend for maintenance of a tile mural?
When cleaning your tiles, we recommend that you use any non-abrasive household cleaner. Gloss murals should be cleaned with glass cleaner or multi-purpose cleaner and a soft cloth.

Q: Can these murals be installed outside?
A: YES. Laser Image Tile utilizes "Millennium XE," a UV protective overcoat that can be applied to your mural after installation. Our porcelain tile bodies are perfect for climates that experience freezing temperatures, like Wisconsin where we are based!
